We started this craziness in 2002. A few years into it, we brought about our first little moneky and two years later, we added our second crazy little monkey. Things around here are definately all over the place, but we wouldn't want it any other way.

Jonas's Weekend with Grandma and Granddad

With so much going on these last couple of weeks, I am just now able to sit down and post about Jonas's weekend with Trent's mom and dad. (I mean it was only 3 weeks ago, that's not too late!) Much to our begging, Grandma and Granddad took pity on us and accepted to have Jonas come and stay with them for a couple of days. We totally thought everything was fine and that Jonas hardly missed us. He only called us once to say that he went to the dump with Granddad and even then it was to say that he saw a bunch of garbage trucks. But Jonas looked like he had a fun time.
Granddad put Jonas to work, is it too early to have him start mowing our lawn?

And the highlight of the weekend.

Jonas is a natural when it comes to blowing the trumpet, from what I understand, he caught on right away.
I mean come on, look at those cheeks, he's bound to be playing in some jazz band with cheeks like those!

What you didn't see (hopefully you heard about it) was in sacrament meeting. Jonas and Tyler made Aunt Debbie, Unkie, Grandma and Granddad all cry. The closing hymn was "I Am A Child of God" and both Jonas and Tyler were singing just as loud and proud as they could. Jonas was sitting in Unkie's lap which made Debbie cry, then Unkie, then Granddad, then Grandma, who is leading the music, looks down and sees all of us teary eyed and then she starts to cry... Then as soon as the song was over, Jonas looks up to Unkie and not so quietly says "That's my favorite song!!"

It was a wonderful experience to know they were with Heavenly Father not too long ago, and the words coming from their mouths really touched out hearts.
