We spent the 4th in good ol Cali. We go every year for the 4th. Its a good time. We hit up lunch at Sea Port Village, the USS Midway for the tour of the aircraft carrier, went to the island of Coronado for the parade, made my grandma's great apricot jam with grandma and utilized our Wild Animal Park pass. I felt like I couldn't sit down long enough to enjoy what was going on. We brought out our Wii and got my grandparents hooked on bowling. The boys loved "the dog" as she is now known by me. Frequently you could hear me saying "dad, the dog peed on the floor again," or "dad, the dog wants to come inside". The weather was beautiful, tempers were calm (for the most part) and the boys loved playing with their cousins.
Jonas has now hit the stage where every picture has to have a silly face.
The Midway is well worth seeing. Now that we are proud owners of a year pass, we will being going more frequently too!
