- We started this craziness in 2002. A few years into it, we brought about our first little moneky and two years later, we added our second crazy little monkey. Things around here are definately all over the place, but we wouldn't want it any other way.

the night run
before i started running i started feeling really nervous. you know the butterfly that is doing backflips. the night was cold, i had on my workout pants and hot pink windbreaker pants. it worked. i had on a short sleeve and long sleeve shirt plus my wind breaker turned backwards so they could see the white arms. it was twelve thirty when shhe came runningt through the chute. i took off. it felt good, the butterflies dissappeared and my legs felt strong. stronger than before. i focused on the man in front of me, i didnt want to be left ouut in the dark all alone. i felt my pace pick up. then the down hill. it felt good. buut then it got hot. ditched my wind breaker and by two miles i knew this was a good night. by three i felt strong. by mile four i picked up a runner who sped up when i sped up and when i slowed down, so did he. it was annoying. by mile five there was a hill. it seemed to loose the runner with me. my team told me i was sprinting uup the hill. when i roounded the corner to hand off the baton, knew i was strong, i have ran the race i would have picked. it gave me confidence. it made me believe that i want to be a runner. we are now on our last leg i am starting to get the butterflies. do i expect the same results as last night, no. at this point i am so cold and sleep deprived and scary from no makeup that it doesnt really matter. i have done good and that is what i can be proud of.
