Laveen Soccer

Where do I even begin to tell you how much I love this low key, but super great soccer program we have out here in south central phoenix? If you haven't had a chance to play in this league, get out there and sign your little one up. The younger boy started his first season. What is more entertaining than watching 4 & 5 year old chase a ball around the field? We were fortunate enough to get a team with lots of friends. Which mean more laughs and more cheers.
The kids pick their team name, this little guy's team? Team Angry Birds. Can you guess who came up with that?
The kids are playing great and learning the game as it goes along. We get a few tears, a few wrong goals and stubborn kids who would rather sit on sideline than play. But its fun. My favorite so far was when a friend tackled the opponent then went and told his coach but ended up crying because he wasn't supposed to do that. The younger boy totally gets the no hands thing, but he will continue to keep running that ball down out of bounds even after the whistle blows.
I'm so fortunate that the boys get these types of experiences without blowing the budget. What? both boys play for only $70 bucks, heck yeah, that's a deal.
It has been fun and we totally love it.
